In short
Buy once and use it forever. Plan as many events as you like, your own and those of your family and friends. Just don't share or resell Tableherald itself.

- Use Tableherald forever, on computers you own or control, one at a time.
- Plan as many events as you like: your own, and events for your family and friends.
- Print what you make as often as you like, at home or at a print shop.
- Keep a private online copy for your own use, protected so only you can open it.
You may not
- Share, give away, sell, rent or sub-license Tableherald, or any part of it, changed or not.
- Sell its themes or ornaments as templates or a pack.
- Use Tableherald to plan events for paying clients, as a business.
- Put Tableherald itself online where other people can open it.
- Remove the font licences that come with it, or share your activation code.
1. Who grants this licence
This licence is granted by Deshenvale Ltd, trading as Pewterham ("we", "us"), a company registered in Scotland with company number SC900494, whose registered office is at 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. "You" means the person who bought Tableherald.
The licence is the same whether you bought Tableherald on our website, through our reseller Paddle, or on Etsy. Tableherald is © Deshenvale Ltd 2026, apart from the fonts by others in section 4, which keep their own licences.
2. What you may do
- Use Tableherald, forever, on any computers and devices you own or control, one computer at a time (section 6).
- Plan as many events as you like: your own, and events for your family and friends.
- Print what you make as often as you like, at home or at a print shop.
- Keep a private online copy of Tableherald for your own use (for example, to use it on a phone or tablet), as long as it is protected so only you can open it. An online copy counts as one of your computers (section 6).
3. What you may not do
- Share, give away, sell, rent or sub-license Tableherald, or any part of it (its code, themes, ornaments or fonts), whether as it is or changed. That includes selling its themes or ornaments as templates or a pack.
- Use Tableherald to plan events for paying clients, as a business.
- Put Tableherald itself online where other people can open it.
- Share your activation code with anyone else, or change Tableherald to get round its activation.
- Remove the font licences that come with Tableherald.
4. Fonts and ornaments
Tableherald includes fonts by other designers, shared under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Their licences are in the fonts folder inside Tableherald, and FONTS.md lists them. The PDFs you save carry the fonts inside them, as those licences allow, so a print shop sees your pages as you do.
The vintage ornaments in some themes come from Pewterham Vol. 1: Vintage and are ours. You may print them as part of the pages you make, but not take them out of Tableherald to use on their own.
5. The charts and cards you make
The seating charts, invitations, cards, signs and lists you make are yours to print and use for your events. Your guest list, addresses, meals and notes stay on your computer: we never see them. You are responsible for the guests' details you enter, and for checking every name, table and date before you print.
6. Activation
- Tableherald needs a one-time online activation. If you bought on our website, your activation code arrives by email within 24 hours of your payment; if you bought on Etsy, it arrives by Etsy message, usually within 24 hours.
- Tableherald asks for the code when you first open it, and you can choose Later. Until you enter it you can use everything except one step: the first time you print your set, Tableherald asks for the code again.
- A code works on one computer at a time. A "computer" means one web browser on one computer: another browser, a private window or an online copy counts as another computer.
- You can move your code to another computer yourself up to 3 times in any 12 months. "Remove this computer" in Tableherald frees it without using a move. If you need more, ask us.
- If the activation service can't be reached when you first enter your code, Tableherald gives that computer a 7-day temporary pass and confirms your code later. A temporary pass ends if the code turns out not to be valid, or is already in use on another computer.
- Once activated, Tableherald works offline. When you're online it checks in at most once a day; if it can't reach us, nothing changes.
- We may switch off a code after a refund or a chargeback, or if it is shared in breach of this licence.
- If we ever close the activation service, we will first release an update of Tableherald, at no cost, that works without activation. Until then, we'll send you an offline pass on request.
7. Updates and help
Updates to version 1 of Tableherald come at no extra cost. For help, email us at [email protected] or, if you bought on Etsy, message us there.
8. No warranty, and your rights
Tableherald is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in this licence limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.
Tableherald is a digital download. When you bought it, you asked for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledged that once the download starts you lose the 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other legal rights, for example if Tableherald is faulty. Our terms and refunds say what happens if something is wrong.
9. If these terms are broken
If you break these terms, this licence ends and you must delete your copies of Tableherald. Charts and cards you made while following these terms are still yours.
10. The law
This licence is governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.
11. Privacy
Activation sends us your code, a random ID made for your browser and which app it is, and never your guest list, the addresses, or anything you type. Our privacy notice says what we keep, why, for how long, and your rights.
