Vitaesmith Ultimate License

Version 1.0 · Pewterham · November 4, 2026

In short

Vitaesmith Ultimate is licensed to you, for your own use. Make as many résumés and cover letters as you like, for yourself or for other people, and keep them for good. Read and print the interview books for yourself. Just don't share, resell or repackage Vitaesmith Ultimate or its books.

You may

  • Use Vitaesmith Ultimate for as long as you like, on computers you own or control, one at a time.
  • Make as many résumés, cover letters and Web Résumés as you like, for yourself or for other people, including paid résumé-writing work.
  • Send, print, publish and keep what you make. It's yours, with no credit needed.
  • Read the three interview books on any of your devices, and print them for your own use.
  • Keep a private online copy for your own use, protected so only you can open it.
  • Keep backup copies of your download.

You may not

  • Share, give away, sell, rent, lend or sub-license Vitaesmith Ultimate, or any part of it, changed or not.
  • Share, give away, sell or publish the interview books, or any of their pages, pictures or answers.
  • Resell it in any form: as a résumé builder, as templates, with "resell rights", or in a bundle.
  • Put Vitaesmith Ultimate or the books, or any part of them, inside another app, website, product or service, whether you charge for it or not.
  • Share your activation code, or try to get round activation.

1. Who grants this licence

This licence is granted by Deshenvale Ltd, trading as Pewterham ("we", "us"), a company registered in Scotland with company number SC900494, whose registered office is at 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. "You" means the person who bought Vitaesmith Ultimate.

The licence is the same whether you bought Vitaesmith Ultimate on our website, through our reseller Paddle, or on Etsy. Vitaesmith Ultimate and its three interview books are licensed to you, not sold: we keep the copyright in the app, its templates, its starter text, its design and the books. They are © Deshenvale Ltd 2026, apart from the fonts by other designers (section 4) and the word lists and occupation data (section 5), which keep their own licences.

2. What you may do

3. What you may not do

4. Fonts

Vitaesmith Ultimate includes fonts by other designers, shared under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each font's licence travels with it, in the fonts folder inside Vitaesmith Ultimate, and FONTS.md lists them. Résumés and letters you export as PDF carry the parts of the fonts they use, and a Web Résumé carries its fonts with their notices, which their licence allows.

5. The word lists and the occupation data

The spelling check uses word lists made from SCOWL, by Kevin Atkinson, under its own permissive licence. The traits offered for cover letters include information from the O*NET 31.0 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA), used under the CC BY 4.0 licence; Deshenvale Ltd has modified it, and USDOL/ETA has not approved, endorsed or tested the changes. O*NET® is a trademark of USDOL/ETA. THIRD-PARTY.md, inside Vitaesmith Ultimate, gives both in full. Both work on your computer: the words you write are never sent anywhere.

6. What you make

You are responsible for what your résumés and letters say: that it is true, and that you have the right to use every name, photo and detail in them. The starter résumés and letter lines are examples only: replace them with your own words, and never claim a job, qualification or referee you don't have. The Job Posting Check suggests; you choose what goes into a tailored copy and fill in its [brackets], and it never scores your résumé. Vitaesmith Ultimate can't promise interviews or job offers, or say how an employer's software will read your résumé.

7. The interview books

The books are general guidance for job interviews in the United States, not legal or career advice for your own situation. Their illustrations were made with an AI image tool. The people and companies in them are invented.

9. Updates and help

Updates to version 1 of Vitaesmith Ultimate come at no extra cost. For help, email us at [email protected] or, if you bought on Etsy, message us there.

10. No warranty, and your rights

Vitaesmith Ultimate is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in this licence limits the rights you have by law as a consumer, for example if Vitaesmith Ultimate is faulty or not as described.

Vitaesmith Ultimate is a digital download. When you bought it, you asked for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledged that once the download starts you lose the 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other legal rights. Our terms and refunds say what happens if something is wrong.

11. If these terms are broken

If you break these terms, this licence ends and you must delete your copies of Vitaesmith Ultimate and the books. Résumés and letters you made while following these terms are still yours.

12. The law

This licence is governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.

13. Privacy

Activation sends us your code, a random ID made for your browser and which app it is, and never your résumé, your letters, your name or anything you type or upload. Our privacy notice says what we keep, why, for how long, and your rights.
