Vitaesmith License

Version 1.0 · Pewterham · November 4, 2026

In short

Vitaesmith is licensed to you, for your own use. Make as many CVs as you like, for yourself or for other people, and keep them for good. Just don't share, resell or repackage Vitaesmith itself.

You may

  • Use Vitaesmith for as long as you like, on computers you own or control, one at a time.
  • Make as many CVs and résumés as you like, for yourself or for other people, including paid CV-writing work.
  • Send, print, publish and keep the CVs you make. They're yours, with no credit needed.
  • Keep a private online copy for your own use, protected so only you can open it.
  • Keep backup copies of your download.

You may not

  • Share, give away, sell, rent, lend or sub-license Vitaesmith, or any part of it, changed or not.
  • Resell it in any form: as a CV builder, as templates, with "resell rights", or in a bundle.
  • Put Vitaesmith, or any part of it, inside another app, website, template pack, product or service, whether you charge for it or not.
  • Put Vitaesmith online where other people can open or download it.
  • Share your activation code, or try to get round activation.

1. Who grants this licence

This licence is granted by Deshenvale Ltd, trading as Pewterham ("we", "us"), a company registered in Scotland with company number SC900494, whose registered office is at 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. "You" means the person who bought Vitaesmith.

The licence is the same whether you bought Vitaesmith on our website, through our reseller Paddle, or on Etsy. Vitaesmith is licensed to you, not sold: we keep the copyright in the app, its templates, its starter CVs and its design. Vitaesmith is © Deshenvale Ltd 2026, apart from the fonts by other designers (section 4), which keep their own licences.

2. What you may do

3. What you may not do

4. Fonts

Vitaesmith includes fonts by other designers, shared under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each font's licence travels with it, in the fonts folder inside Vitaesmith, and FONTS.md lists them. CVs you export as PDF carry the parts of the fonts they use, which their licence allows.

5. The CVs you make

You are responsible for what your CVs say: that it is true, and that you have the right to use every name, photo and detail in them. The starter CVs are examples only: replace their text with your own, and never claim a job, qualification or referee you don't have. Vitaesmith can't promise interviews or job offers, or say how an employer's software will read your CV.

6. Activation

7. Updates and help

Updates to version 1 of Vitaesmith come at no extra cost. For help, email us at [email protected] or, if you bought on Etsy, message us there.

8. No warranty, and your rights

Vitaesmith is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in this licence limits the rights you have by law as a consumer, for example if Vitaesmith is faulty or not as described.

Vitaesmith is a digital download. When you bought it, you asked for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledged that once the download starts you lose the 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other legal rights. Our terms and refunds say what happens if something is wrong.

9. If these terms are broken

If you break these terms, this licence ends and you must delete your copies of Vitaesmith. CVs you made while following these terms are still yours.

10. The law

This licence is governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.

11. Privacy

Activation sends us your code, a random ID made for your browser and which app it is, and never your CV, your name or anything you type. Our privacy notice says what we keep, why, for how long, and your rights.
