1. Who grants this licence
This licence is granted by Deshenvale Ltd, trading as Pewterham ("we", "us"), a company registered in Scotland with company number SC900494, whose registered office is at 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. "You" means the person who bought Yearbinder.
It covers each of Yearbinder's three editions, Yearbinder Lite, Yearbinder Standard and Yearbinder Ultimate: the copy that comes with yours names your edition, and its terms are the same, but for the stickers line in section 2, which only Ultimate has. The licence is the same whether you bought Yearbinder on our website, through our reseller Paddle, or on Etsy. Yearbinder is © Deshenvale Ltd 2026, apart from the fonts by other designers (section 4), which keep their own licences.
2. What you may do
- Use Yearbinder, forever, on any computers you own or control, one computer at a time (section 7).
- Make as many planners as you like, for yourself and the people you live with.
- Put your planners on all your own tablets, phones and computers, and print them for your own use.
- In Yearbinder Ultimate: save a theme's stickers for your own note apps, and use them in your own notes and planners.
3. What you may not do
- Share, give away, sell, rent or sub-license Yearbinder, or any part of it (its code, templates, themes, pictures, stickers or fonts), whether as it is or changed. That includes selling it as a planner maker, or including it in another product.
- Sell, give away or publish the planners you make with it, or their pages, pictures or stickers, for example as a planner, a printable or a sticker pack of your own.
- Put Yearbinder online where other people can open it.
- Remove the licences that come with the fonts.
4. Fonts
Yearbinder includes our own fonts, for use inside Yearbinder only, and fonts by other designers, shared under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each of those fonts' licences travels with it, and FONTS.md lists them all. The planners you make carry the parts of the fonts they use, which the licences allow.
5. The pictures
The themes' pictures were made with the help of AI tools, then picked and finished by us. They come with Yearbinder to use in the planners you make, and are not sold on their own.
6. What you make
The planners you make are yours to use as section 2 says. Yearbinder's holidays follow the published rules for each year; a one-off holiday announced later isn't included, so check any date that matters to you. Each tablet's pages are made to its maker's published screen size; the tablets marked Tested are the ones we check on the tablet itself. We aren't affiliated with the makers of the tablets named in Yearbinder.
7. Activation
- Yearbinder needs a one-time online activation. If you bought on our website, your activation code arrives by email within 24 hours of your payment; if you bought on Etsy, it arrives by Etsy message, usually within 24 hours. Each edition has its own code: YB- for Lite, YS- for Standard and YX- for Ultimate.
- Yearbinder asks for the code when you first open it, and you can choose Later. Until you enter it you can use everything except one step: the first time you make your planner, Yearbinder asks for the code again.
- A code works on one computer at a time. A "computer" means one web browser on one computer: another browser, a private window or an online copy counts as another computer.
- You can move your code to another computer yourself up to 3 times in any 12 months. "Remove this computer" in Yearbinder frees it without using a move. If you need more, ask us.
- If the activation service can't be reached when you first enter your code, Yearbinder gives that computer a 7-day temporary pass and confirms your code later. A temporary pass ends if the code turns out not to be valid, or is already in use on another computer.
- Once activated, Yearbinder works offline. When you're online it checks in at most once a day; if it can't reach us, nothing changes.
- We switch off a code when its order is refunded in full or charged back. If a chargeback is reversed and the order wasn't refunded in full, we switch the code back on. We may also switch off a code that is shared in breach of this licence.
- If we ever close the activation service, we will first release a free update of Yearbinder that works without activation. Until then, we'll send you an offline pass on request.
8. Updates and help
Updates to this version of Yearbinder are free. For help, email us at [email protected] or, if you bought on Etsy, message us there.
9. No warranty, and your rights
Yearbinder is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in this licence limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Yearbinder is a digital download. When you bought it, you asked for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledged that once the download starts you lose the 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other legal rights, for example if Yearbinder is faulty. Our terms and refunds say what happens if something is wrong.
10. If these terms are broken
If you break these terms, this licence ends and you must delete your copies of Yearbinder. Planners you made while following these terms are still yours to use.
11. The law
This licence is governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.
12. Privacy
Activation sends us your code, a random ID made for your browser and which app it is, and never your planner, your name, your email address or anything you make. Our privacy notice says what we keep, why, for how long, and your rights.
